INTERPRETATION OF FINANCIAL STATEMENTS

Brief Information

The Interpretation of Financial Statements training provides the participants with a grounding in the contents of the financial statements by examining their structure and contents. The course also presents several tools that can be used to extract information from the statements. In addition, there are a number of insights into the financial statements can be used to estimate what operational and financial changes might be going on within a business. Financial statements are prepared to assist users in making decisions. They therefore need interpreting, and the calculation of various ratios makes it easier to compare the state of a company with previous years and with other companies.


Interpreting Financial Statements is  important for shareholders and potential investors – primarily concerned with receiving an adequate return on their investment, but also with the stability/liquidity of the business, suppliers and lenders – concerned with the security of their debt or loan and management – concerned with the trend and level of profits, since this is the main measure of their success.
